Ovulation and Cysts ..?

I am pretty sure I have cysts on my left ovary. I have a followup with my obgyn in a few days to know for sure. I have had no luck TTC for 20 months now. How can cysts interfere with TTC? Would they get in the way of ovulation or possibly block the sperm and egg from meeting?
