Old Cartoon fans!!?

Hello I was wondering if anyone knew what cartoon it was that my mom possibly got the name Nicomi from. Dont know if Im spelling it right but my mom is 44 and named out cat of 7 years Nicomi, Nico for short. She always told me the name was from an old cartoon when she was younger. One of the characters names was Nicomi and the other Shinook! Anyone have any clue what this cartoon may be??? Thank you so much and pardon my spelling.
