Is the AR-15 platform the future of hunting?

Could be. They use them in the Prairie Dog Shoot outs out in West Texas. They get clean kills at up to 1000 yards. It's a fun gun to shoot but probably the loudest gun I have ever fired. Relatively small bullet but extremely powerful and fast. Much louder than an AK-47.
