Libyan Crisis: What will several airstrikes do to resolve the situation?

The air strikes will do nothing but lengthen the time that the civil war in Libya will be fought. Ghadaffi has made it very clear that he will not give up power. So instead of the civil war being ended quickly it will be dragged out because he will have to complete his goals with his grounds troops and he will. Obama will not send in ground troops, so it is only a matter of time. I would even go so far as to say that more people will probably end up dying because of the air strikes.
