Does anyone else think this is crazy?

In 1943 the Euthanasia Society of America tried to form a committee to kill people, involuntarily, who had "congenital monstrosities" (people born with diseases and/or hideous birth marks). To me, this is extremely sick, and obviously I thought that most people would agree, but apparently there is a vast amount of people who believe that this is okay. Do you guys think this is crazy, or am I the only sane one left?
