I have two tvs in the house that are "cable ready". Will I need a set top box for DTV in Feb 2009?

I hook the cable directly to the TV's in question and receive my cable company's signal and service thru the cable. www.dtvanswers.com explains if I am paying for cable service I won't need a set top box. I do have set top boxes and DVR's on a couple more tv's in the house AND get a whole different array of channels on those tvs. On the two tv's in question, I receive only the "basic" pkg, but still both of those are hooked directly to the cable jack. I don't think I'll need anything further for the change in February. Am I correct?
